چکیده

A growing body of literature analyses the conflict implications REDD+ (Reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation in developing countries). However, way these conflicts unfold is little understood. We address this research gap through following question: What are pathways that connect projects between local communities other actors? review 242 scientific articles, selecting eight allow us to trace how unfolded. draw on a political ecology perspective conceptualize ‘conflict pathway’ as an interaction key events drivers leading conflict. find six main drivers: (1) injustices restrictions over (full) access control resources; (2) creation new governance structures change relationships stakeholders forest; (3) exclusion community members comprehensive project participation; (4) high expectations not met; (5) changes land tenure policy due migrants, (6) aggravation historic conflicts. Evictions forests, acts violence, lawsuits among contributing pathways. To prevent them, rights, livelihoods, benefits need be placed at centre projects.

REDD+ on the rocks? Conflict Over Forest and Politics of Justice in Vietnam

In Vietnam, villagers involved in a REDD+ (reduced emissions from deforestation and forest degradation) pilot protect areas with rocks which have barely a tree on them. The apparent paradox indicates how actual practices differ from general ideas about REDD+ due to ongoing conflict over forest, and how contestations over the meaning of justice are a core element in negotiations over REDD+. Social conflict

Numerous approaches in the social sciences either refuse to consider or minimize the importance of conflict in community, or else replace it with a Spencerian vision of the social struggle. Conflict and the Social Contract

We consider social contracts for resolving conflicts between two agents who are uncertain about each other’s fighting potential. The elusive link between conflict and conflict adaptation.

A core tenet of the original conflict-monitoring model is that regulation is triggered automatically when conflict is present and that the same regulation mechanism explains both trial-to-trial adaptation effects as well as effects of block-wise conflict manipulations. We present here results from two experiments using the Stroop task that show (a) that adaptation effects in the absence of resp...

Running title: VALUE CONFLICT IN THE BRAIN Neural evidence of motivational conflict between social values

Motivational interdependence is an organizing principle in Schwartz’s (1992) circumplex model of social values, which has received abundant cross-cultural support (Schwartz et al., 2012). We used fMRI to test whether motivational relations between social values predict different brain responses in a situation of choice between values. We hypothesized that differences in brain responses would be...
